Masters of Studies in English Only
The study of English and American Studies focuses on the languages, literatures and cultures of the Anglophone world. The sub-areas of English linguistics including linguistic history, English literary studies, American studies, English and American cultural studies, language practice/regional studies and didactics of English language and literature currently include six professors and numerous academic and research support staff.
The range of courses includes courses in language practice, diachronic and synchronic linguistics, taking English from the Middle Ages to the present into account, as well as courses on Anglophone literatures and cultures from the Middle Ages to the present.
