New Publication: The Leader as Servant and Crisis Manager?

How can leaders best support their employees during times of crisis? Annika Schowalter and Judith Volmer explored this question by investigating the relationship between servant leadership and employees’ adaptivity and proactivity. In a longitudinal study with 129 teachers in Germany, the findings revealed that servant leadership, mediated by basic need satisfaction, was positively associated with adaptive behavior.
