Digital Teaching and Learning
Nowadays smart phones, WLAN, and mobile devices with internet access are part of everyday reality for young adults and children. Then again in classroom ICT use emerges very gradually.
The main challenge is how to reasonably implement and integrate digital devices and software in teaching-learning-situations in school or at home. Moreover, additional benefit is not self-evident but has to be discussed.
Research in the Digital Teaching-Learning field is at least twofold.
On the hand research projects aim at developing as well as evaluating innovative and educationally sound software solutions for different content areas. On the other hand topics like algorithms, hardware, and coding can be focussed on in projects. In this perspective the devices themselves and their operating modes are made subject of discussion.
